HERZWERK Herzbergstraße, Berlin

The commercial area along Herzbergstraße in Lichtenberg is one of the few remaining inner-city industrial locations in Berlin. In addition to Don Xuan, a Vietnamese wholesale market, the site is also home to top-class art venues, including the Haubrok Collection, HB 55 art factory and Arno Brandlhuber’s neo-Brutalist towers. And now, in the midst of all this, HERZWERK is emerging: two Wilhelminian-era buildings with a landscaped courtyard and a veneer that exudes the spirit of optimism of 1990’s Berlin. Very soon, HERZWERK will add another highlight to Berlin-Lichtenberg’s flourishing art scene as a creative hub with studio and exhibition space.
